Multi-Platform Services Salespeople

Abtech is looking for successful multi-platform services salespeople to develop new business for enterprise-class computer support, consulting, and data center services.

The successful candidate will have had a minimum of three years of enterprise level managed services or break/fix maintenance service sales. Candidates should have a proven track record of achieving sales goals and is comfortable with developing an account base, establishing relationships and closing viable business opportunities.

Additional job requirements:

  • Several years of strong server and storage services experience and background.
  • A deep understanding of these technologies and how they relate to a business's needs.
  • A closer with C-Level customer contacts - and ability to tap warm market.
  • Self motivated, highly driven, and a strong communicator.
  • Ability to take initiative and manage time effectively
  • Ability to travel locally
  • College degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.

This position requires strong IT sales skills and an entrepreneurial attitude. You will be expected to:

  • Prospect extensively via phone, email, and outside sales calls
  • Conduct meetings with prospects and existing clients (onsite and remotely)
  • Generate proposals and quotes

Provide weekly forecasts to management

Our compensation and benefits package is very competitive and includes a base salary plus commissions, medical and 401k.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years’ of proven experience selling Enterprise Level Professional Services. Experience selling EMC or NetApp-related products and/or services to end users in the commercial high-tech marketplace is desirable.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • A deep understanding of technology and how it relates to business needs.

San Diego area Tier 2 IT Systems Engineer 


Systems Engineer for the company's managed services clients located throughout Southern California. Candidate will possess a broad technical knowledge of Windows based servers and desktops as well as IP networking and virtualization technologies. Candidate will be experienced in providing system administration and troubleshooting of Windows based servers and desktops as well as administering Virtual environments utilizing both VMware and Hyper-V. Candidate will also possess data networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills along with exceptional customer service, follow up, organizational, and communication skills.
Primary Job Functions: 
Provide Tier 2 technical support to end users remotely via phone, web based tools, and email, as well as onsite visits to client locations when necessary.
Perform preventive and proactive maintenance and support as needed.
Advise customers regarding the product's proper use and address specific user issues.
Act as a liaison between end users and Tier 3 support if necessary.
Assisting the sales team with pre-sales technical support, attending prospect meetings, and preparing Statements of Work for the sales representatives.

Required Skills:

  • Basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Windows Desktop Support (Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7).
  • Competent in advanced troubleshooting and setup of Microsoft Office.
  • Virus / Spyware detection and removal.
  • Windows Server system administration (2003 and 2008 R2 required, 2012 a plus).
  • Exchange (2003 and 2007 required, Exchange 2010 a plus), maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Backup administration (Symantec Backup Exec preferred, other packages are a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory best practices in small to midsize network environments.
  • Reviewing and identification of issues in application, event, and security logs.
  • VMware experience required, Hyper-V a plus.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking to include: Internet Protocol, VLAN, Firewall, Router, Wireless Access Point configuration.
  • Experience with HP, Dell, SonicWALL and Cisco’s lines of networking equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to handle client interactions professionally and respectfully.
  • Highly motivated and organized with an attention to detail and a passion for excellence.
  • Desired Skills:
  • Mac skills, especially in relation to connecting Apple products to a Windows based network.
  • Basic iOS and Android skills
  • Experience using a help desk ticketing system
  • Experience: 5+ years of system administration experience in a fast paced environment, or 3 years of experience with verified Microsoft, CompTIA, or other vendor specific certifications.

Work Status: Full time

Travel: Position requires some travel around the greater San Diego, Orange County, and Los Angeles areas depending on the assigned territory, therefore a reliable vehicle is required. Abtech does reimburse the employee for all company related mileage incurred. Occasionally, overnight travel may be required, though this is very rare.

San Diego area Tier 3 IT Systems Engineer/NOC Manager

Abtech Technologies is looking for a NOC Manager with Tier 3 Systems Engineering skills to provide leadership for our MSP business.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and management of Tier 1/2 engineers in the NOC

o   Make sure that trouble tickets are completed correctly, quickly and professionally by your staff

o   Analyze root causes of problems to explain to our clients and find proactive ways to avoid them in the future

o   Develop team schedule, set clear expectations of daily activities, monitor the progress of service issues to their timely resolution, review and post completed trouble tickets

o   Client management (eg. non-technical client issues, relationship building, assisting in sales scenarios)

o   Be able to listen and oversee helpdesk while performing higher level projects and interject when needed to assist with a ticket

o   Liaise with executive management about NOC issues

o   Be the lead engineer for strategic accounts as required

o   Create Standard Operating Procedures for the NOC

o   Be the escalation point for issues that Tier 1/2 engineers are not able to solve

 

  • Deliver consulting engagements including but not limited to Exchange, Office365, VMware, HyperV, MS Server, migrations, upgrades, wireless and wired networks, disk array sizing and implementation, and new deployments of technology

o   Experience with AppAssure or Veeam a plus

o   Experience dealing with large and complex networks and diverse equipment; Cisco experience a huge plus

 

  • Conduct yourself ethically with our clients, co-workers, and vendors
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of management experience managing a NOC in an MSP environment
  • Current IT industry certifications with relevant real-world experienced to back up the claim of being a Tier 3 engineer
  • Be action-oriented, hold yourself and others to a high standard of quality service delivery, and improve the proactivity of service to our clients
  • Have a clear understanding of how an MSP model operates and what it takes to be successful in both service delivery and revenue generation
  • Highly proficient at the configuration and management of PSA and RMM software with Autotask and AVG/LPI experience being ideal
  • Must be self-driven and have the ability to know when things just need to get done
  • Must have the ability to learn “on the fly” when it comes to new technology
